Readers have been told by telephone that my son-in-law has cancer.  He retired early with leukemia.

He saw his GP re sciatica and neck pain recently.  That resulted in hospitalisation and his neck muscles etc are fading due to cancer.  It is elsewhere also.

This means I must stop this project and I hope you'll understand.

The Pupil blog is underway here.

To emphasise that although there's prominence given to the Science Club, I'll fit in to whatever your current theme is and in whatever format.

13  Jan

  1. See 'Just a Minute' at the top of the page here.

  2. The main blog in focus is here.

  3. This blog and this blog do not have much - on purpose - for parents to explore.

  4. The school may agree that showing parents this page is ill advised due to extent and complexity.

  5. The same with the Education Triangle and anything else saying what they should do.

  6. I have just put 2 or 3 links within each blog.

  7. To emphasise that although there's prominence given to the Science Club, I'll fit in to whatever your current theme is and in whatever format.

  8. As discussed, the Club can work with the normal size class.

10 Jan.

If I am taken on  via  here.

To remind readers that the three main sites are:

  1. For parents

  2. Prof Harrison's Primary School Science blogs and websites    see Item 3 today below

  3. Primary School Science for pupils 8 + years old

  4. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  5. The original blog comprised scores of pages but it failed leading to the need of the three above.

  6. --------------

  7. Space for Children has been around for many years, it's a paid-for site so should last.  It has only been used a few times so far and that's its limit.

  8. Why, may you ask, did I choose blogs?  They're easy to use and offer a better layout.

  9. Most sites display URLs across the top of the page which doesn't suit me.

  10. There's a cluster of small sites using mainly different colour schemes to give occasional variety.

  • How is energy stored in your body?  *

Now on the large map of URLs

If I  am taken on, pupils will see their pages on a new blog in sequence starting with 7.1 and 2 Railway HP  if the school agrees.

It may have other ideas which will be fine, of course.

UK National Space Centre Appreciation

A holiday visit and it's in Leicester.

It has just been added to the link map here at 3.23.

7 Jan

Links to be processed here. (!)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

  1. The existing blogs and websites are not for pupils.

  2. See the new notes and link here.

  3. The Education Triangle now just shows the second half.  See it at source if you will.

  4. My sister was a primary school teacher who says one of her (their) biggest challenges was parental lack of interest in their children as pupils.

  5. My late wife was a Reception teacher but they were different times.

  6. The school may not want the page shown.  Fine.

6 Jan 2025

  1. Will bring DBS certificate on 8 Jan.

  2. The latest map of the sites and pages is here .  Time will remove others.

  3. In the event of my volunteering as a science teacher taking place, pupils will experience a very different online output.

  4. Rather than have a vast amount to read and digest, they will be given a page a day or two after sending it to parents who will have time to think about it. Hopefully.

  5. There'll be a varied dozen pages.
