- During September/October of last year within the aim of fortnightly attendance as a volunteer, I ran two science lessons but classroom availability involved the fire escape.
- My resources at the time included a train set, a 'normal' website of several years, and a large blog.
- New readers can dig deep but it's best to forget last year.
- In the hope that we can restart on a weekly basis regarding pupils, a new blog has been created. It shows the different approach used - a week or so at at time.
- Parents will have access to their own blog here if the school agrees and it is hoped for fruitful involvement.
- Within the new situation of SP not being available it is hoped that her stand-in and I will work together. Some email.
- The process last time involved me showing the school a lesson plan in advance of a lesson. This mini-blog does that. Pupils are informed that this is about to happen here. First example here.
- Pupils were enthusiastic about a train set last time. Calling it a Science Club meant that twelve pupils attended and perhaps six were able to drive the train during each lesson. Too many.
- With a whole class, only two max can drive on any day which means a new approach.
- Item 5 is key to the new approach and the teacher will know which pupils would benefit most. Also which pupils tend towards unruliness.
