There are two other main sites
Primary School Science for pupils 8 + years old
The The Torch of Learning supports the aim:
Great pupil-learning!
It shines on yearning hoping longing for learning.
- 'Club' has been chosen to give special meaning to the package. Parents are just as much members as pupils and the school.
- 'Sample pages from the blog' to be deleted from the title once in full operation.
- 'Yearning' is explained as this is the impact page for pupils. Most of this text will not be included.
- With school consent, parents will be introduced to the blogs. They include a site for themselves only.
When pupils start to read the blog, pages addressed to parents and school will be included via special links from their site here.- 9 Jan Any mention of pupils reading this site should be ignored please.
- Thus '1 Mission' will be replaced with 'About this set of blogs/websites'.
- Parents retain access as it is now. Pupils will read their own version.
1 Mission
- Provide resources which enhance the ability of primary school parents to help their children learn about science.
- Provide resources which enhance the ability of primary school pupils to learn about science at home and at school.
- Respond to questions and comment which parents make via page comment or via the Contact page. Pupils are not permitted to contact the author.
- Where possible, text included in the sites is followed by its source. A good practice when pupils are doing their homework and classwork.
- Preparing for later life by giving their backed-up facts and thoughts. They will soon be able to understand referencing.
2 Welcome to all readers! to be revised for pupils
- These pages form a set of images and text relating to science in any UK primary school with parents very much in mind.
- Readers will, of course, come from other viewpoints and their welcome is equal.
- These pages include many aspects of the primary school science curriculum.
- Readers within a specific school which intends that the author will come into, can alter the blog title with the author.
- All communications will be welcomed and looking forward to knowing how best I can help.
- Please use the Contact page below or the Post-a-comment link on each page.
