Preparation- parents

  1. This is an outline of two lessons.

  2. We start with an energy song.

  3. The lesson will look back to pupils having received parental help.

  4. Ideally,you'll find time to work through the link at the foot of the page before the lesson.

  5. Ask your child/ren about the many forms of motion.

  6. Help to group them. 

  7. Examples?  Start at rest, Never rest, Living, Mechanical etc.  

  8. Their thoughts go on the whiteboard - to be photographed.

  9. It'll be interesting to see their results.  Compare two or three weeks later.

  10. The trains involve their own staff and onboard provision of human needs.  

  11. The main station includes pupils thinking about the staff, the resting places,

  12.  snacks, WCs, information etc thereby extending science into everyday life.

  13. Houses need roads, lighting, sewers etc.  Pupils will receive an introduction.

  14. They'll make houses etc at home.  Some pupils may have train sets.
There MAY be a train set in the classroom.   

Ideally, pupils will arrive with their first name on a piece of card to put in front of them.
